LEAVE THE MUSKET… BRING THE SMOKE

Colonial Downs kicks off Monday July 11th and brings the smoke Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Virginia track located just outside of Richmond in New Kent has * two state-of-the-art racing surfaces that are second to none. The Secretariat Turf Course is the widest grass racing surface in North America and has played host to champion horses over the last two decades in prestigious races like the New Kent County Virginia Derby. The dirt track is the country’s second largest and offers equine athletes a safe and sprawling oval to compete over. (Text from https://colonialdowns.com/racing/ )

Come to the races for a STABLEDUEL DAY on Monday July 25th. Let the StableDuel gang host you at Colonial Downs to enjoy a contest on track live. We know Monday’s are a work day for most so we have provided you with this Permission Slip to hand in to your boss. Just fill out the personal details and let’s get ready for some fun.

Feature race on that day is the $150,000 Colonial Cup ran 1 1/2 miles on the turf for 3yo’s and up. PLUS StableDuel will have their own sponsored race where *maybe* we can all take a picture in the winner’s circle together. Human pyramid formation required.

Stay tuned for more information.

Last year, Bri Mott gave daily picks with various racing industry personalities for each days card. Stay tuned for picks and content each day similar to last year.

Important things to note:

Colonial Downs offers Steeplechase or “jump” races and those happen earlier on the card. They are ‘non-wagering’ races where the horses have no morning-line odds and therefore StableDuel won’t offer those races in the contests.

We are working this year to keep the game open until the FIRST Thoroughbred race which happens each day at 1:45pm ET.
