First time starter has a nice pedigree. Her Dam was a G1 winner & has produced 2 direct siblings of
Preempt that have won. One of those was a debut winner & G 3 winner. This barn has also had a very
good last 10 months with first time starters. Arnold has won with 5 first time starters in the last 10 months,
at some huge prices of 36-1, 15-1, 8-1, 15-1.
5th #7 Solid Country Gold (15-1) ML, $500 SD
His most recent race on the turf at Fair Grounds was very good; he was behind slow fractions in a race
where there wasn’t not much passing. He was not beaten a whole lot in that race and he showed
improvement on the turf for his first grass start since October. Price player.
7th race #1 Take a Stand (10-1) ML, $1,000 SD
While she may not be as experienced on the Turf as many here, her most recent race on the grass
represents a lot of upside. Nov 25th she finished 3rd in a Grade 2, with an effort that be competitive in
this race. Now she makes her second start back off a 3 and a half month layoff. Making her second start
as a 3 year old there could be some nice built in improvement.
